Title: Cutting tools
Post by: 90sam on September 07, 2007, 21:20:04
Hey all,
Gonna put some side windows in my 90, and wondering the best way to cut the side panels. Havent got any tools really or that much money to spend on new ones. Would the jigsaw be alright with a metal blade for cutting out the pannel? Any ideas?
Cheers
Sam

Just as a sugestion -- place some masking tape on the paintwork, It it great to mark  out the template onto, also stops the jigsaw foot marking the paintwork

Half decent pair of airplane snips will do the job as well.

Drill large hole in centre of panel and cut outwards in a big spiral till you reach the marked cutout line then follow line with snips.
