As it says below.............
I had the Fronty for four years, but after being made redundant and getting a much lower paid job it had to go!! Especially as distance to work became twenty miles instead of two!!
Now got another job that pays a bit better, hence the Disco.

-
Blue was the first
The came Red, which I sold to my sister
I had another blue one that was stolen
The came chuggaboom, that belongs to the wife
shortly afterwards came the LSE
this year I bought another LSE to break for parts
and finally a '93 SE that's for sale, I bought on a whim.
My sister now has a soft-dash, but that only comes here when it's broken, so almost never.
So we have 5, plus one that's just a memory. All RRCs if you needed to ask.

Cut and shut a 109" exhaust!!!
what you mean by that?
Well if you have 109 which has been cut down then sure you need to do the same with the exhaust, You need to cut 19.5" (look for a straight part of exhaust pipe) from the section between rear of gearbox to silencer and weld it back together.
You may be able to extend the 88 in a similar way but you would need to a couple of inches from beyond the silencer and add it in the section as above from memory pipe diameter is the same.
You may want to look at the possibility adjusting the chassis mount (hammer) you may be able to adjust them to be able to get and 88 to fit bare in mind most exhausts are hung on rubber mount
-
ok well at the moment i have an 88 exhaust that i was going to link up with some flexi pipe but like you said they arnt chassis mounts in the right places, can i weld some on, or would it just be easier to buy a 109 exhaust and "cut n shut" it?

the fourtrak was probably the most interesting, all i`m saying is 20mins, a bleed valve, and lots of nice black fog.....
clutch lasted a week after, but that was one hell of a week!!
..shame it was as good as a bmw 5 series offroad......
pickup was my favourite (i owned it twice!) but needed something a bit more person friendly, and probably more versatile offroad.
defender just happened to be a duff one unfortunatley, TDi all the way in future!!
