Dakar looks an all right but to common a tread pattern
Mountain looks a good all rounder
-
dakar looks like bfg tread so that would get my vote :D

Now I remember where I had see that tread pattern again..
I'm still thinking about a set of Colway AT's, my last pair were superb.

Dakars are copies of BFG muds and mountains are copies of Khumo KL-71's - both are ok, but neither are a partch on the genuine article.
-

we went to alps and have done around 2500 miles and the same amount again round here with both road and mud use just starting to think about replacing them we would probably go to paddocks for the same again
forgot to say this is about the 3rd year we've had them and they have stayed on 2 motors for road as well as mud use

Yer I we agree with the Colway AT's, superb on and off-road.

insa now do a bfg/ko copy
-
Got the Dakars on mine, been on there a couple of weeks. Bit of noise on the road but nothing too severe, handled well so far with what I've thrown at 'em. Paid £240 for the 4, fitted etc. Could have done it a bit cheaper but decided to do it all through a local tyres place.
-
Had Dakars on mine before and my mate also has them on, they are very very good tyres. Get them!

What's the mileage that you covered on them before considering for renewal, I hope it's far more than the 5,000 miles implied in the first paragraph

Beat me to it , Richard! I've done 22k in the last year on the old Scorpions that came with the car - replacement after 5k wouldn't do for me!
I think the old BFG A/Ts on the Series will find their way onto the Disco, and the (even older) Olympic Mud Pluggas will go on the Series for now.
