Is there some part of the brake light circuit on the series 1 disco that is common to the two side brake lights but not the high-level light?
A friend was following me today and said that only the high-level brake light was working. The bulbs are OK.

Hi morfis, you have a pm :)

Thanks Steve.
Fuse is common to all three brake lights and is OK
switch is common to all three brake lights so must be OK,
Ground is common to all lights in the rear cluster and all other lights are working correctly
From your schematic diagram I can't see what the problem could be or where the high-level light wiring splits off. Is there an associated part that explains the wiring colours and connectors - maybe a lose connector somewhere or damaged wire but the diagram doesn't help me with that.

Have you actually checked for power at the plug and at the terminal inside the bulb holder that touches the bulb?

Yes, on both sides, after I took the bulbs out and checked them. There is no power at the light unit connector block

I've just emailed some additional pages to you which may be of help.
