Always attack, never stop moving and keep firing as that makes them keep thier heads down.  get som smoke bombs, the best that you can find.  They make for an excellent "exit strategy".

Probably going to play tactical scenario paintball. Just bought a Tippmann A-5 with flatline barrel and six position car stock, running on air as it hard to find somebody to fill C02 bottles.

Just trying to find some woodland, to play in.

Most sites will fill your bottles for ya.

Buy some gloves...if you havent already, those hands are very vunerable. Buy some knee and elbow pads as they help when you are diving around.
A5 is a good marker, flatline gives it a lot of accurate range.

Main thing have fun...and anyone who tries to pretend they havent been hit...pagger them, they soon give up!!

ditch the NBC suit they are too warm.... way too warm.

I cut the charcoal lining out of the NBC suit, so its quite light (not good for protection thou!), I’ve got some camo glove too somewhere…..notice the theme I’m going with!

Went to a few paintball sites here in Cornwall, but apparently a law was brought in about six months ago, stating that sites can not fill C02 bottles for external use (something about insurance?).

If you only want a little CO2 then make friends with a pub landlord, and old teacher used to run the schools welder on pub gas.

Getting your own gear, someones serious. Personally i've never got to that level, the best i've had is when one of the oposition droped their gun (we were all using hired) through a hatch by mistake which left me playing rambo with someone elses ammunition

Learn from the mistake of a friend of mine which is not to smoke granade a door way and then charge through it firing forwards. I was in front of him but crouched very low and there were 2 others on each side of the door. His chest was a sight at the end of the day and he nevr got a hit on use in return.

odd as it sounds pub co2 is the wrong sort! it is co2 gas and you need co2 liquid or youll only get a few shots off. havent heard about this law change- i still fill bottles for use off site and my insurance company dont have a problem with it. there are a few solutions though if you are still stuck.
Tippmanns are the most reliable marker on the market when it comes to them being dumped in a muddy puddle and still working- i remember an old promo video where they drove a tank over one picked it up and shot somebody with it!
Main thing though is to have some fun and shoot them more than they shoot you!!!

Ditch the camo and get a "TANK".

Post by: clbarclay on June 29, 2007, 15:55:36
You don't need a tank, one site I've been to had an old series 3 wreck. It had no rear side windows but it did have quater lights on the side of the roof with the glass missing. This made for and excelent vantage position as you could fire through it at the oposition down the slope, but they had no chance of hitting you. With this advantage you could pin down most of the opposition very easily

Just to revive this thread, Just got delivery of my new Inferno Field marker this morning and cant wait to be let loose on the sites again!!

At work, I also have unconditional use of the basement area to host scenario games with mates (the boss usually wants to join in the game tho)

Anyone else do scenario or just field games?

“Scenario games in the basement”, that sounds ace! You must have a great boss then! Like I said before, I’m playing tactical scenario paintball in some woods with ditches, rivers, mounds, etc. Did have a look at the local paint ball range, but decided that hiding behind round hay bales in an open field, didn’t look that interesting. Nothing more exciting when lying in undergrowth waiting for the enemy, when you hear a twig snap from behind you! What do you do…………”Fire fight!!!!!”

What do you use, Air or Co2? I originally bought Co2 tanks, but after finding that nobody would fill them up (due to some new rule?), decided to switch to air. We can get a normal sized dive refill bottle filled for about a £1, that should last for months!

“Quiet……..I hear the enemy approaching from the north………AMBUSH!!!!!!”

I use CO2, the benifits of working in a bar, we have CO2 for the post mix, so i ordered an extra canister and have a filling station set up for the paintball. complete with a set of scales to weigh the bottles to make sure there not over filled.

Is it safe to use air?
CO2 is inert air isnt, must use it for a reason?

air is actually a lot better for your marker than co2- you'll find you spend a lot less time on maintanance if your on air.

Just come back from playing a game for a stag due. The pain still hurts when you get ‘capped’ in the ass!

At one point it was like the scene from Platoon, when Willem Dafoe dropped down on his knees as he his being shot!
