Will early TD5 headlights (not indicators) fit a 300TDi Disco?
Straight swap or not? Anyone done it before?

Straight swap my friend
-
out of interest can i ask why swop them??
-
Many thanks for all of the replies.
Why swap - I just think they look that little bit smarter. I had spotted a set on yabE at just £24 but as usual, by the time I got my act together they had gone.

If you change the bulbs and upgrade the wiring loom they are brighter too, due to the Td5 lights having better reflectors.

We are hoping to do this mod when theres some spare notes.
Have to say it does make the Disco look more beefy

What's needed on the loom then?
-
The original loom is not that powerful where as the Td5 loom is more beefier.
I fitted a ARB wiring loom (contain's upgraded relays and thicker wires with a direct battery connection which allow's more power to the bulbs with out melting the original wiring) and some IPF high power bulbs to suit.
I now have very bright, white lights insteadof the usual yellow glow

This looks like a good mod - any chance of getting a scan of the installation instructions?

Unfortunetly not as i have discarded the instructions
but, to summerise, all you have to do is plug the already built loom into one of the head light bulb plugs, plug the bulbs into the new loom, attach the positive to the battery and then cable tie the loom down for neatness
Its as simple as that.
The loom is the first product on this page
