anybody know weather an lt 77 box out of a 91 rangie will fit in the hole that used 2 be an lt 77 in my 85, 90"?
-
What engines are fitted to the respective vehicles ?
-
rangie was 3.9 v8 lr is 2.5 na soon 2 be 200 tdi i hope
-
Afraid not.
The LT77 from the Rangie will be the 'Longstick' version, which is (I guess) around 8-10" longer and will have different bell housing fittings.
You need a 4 cylinder LT77 to go back in there.
-
Just to qualify that... you could probably make it fit.. you might even be able to get an adaptor of some sort... but it will involve a bit of fiddling.
-
[!Expletive Deleted!], cant i unbolt the bellhousing and swap them also it appears that the gear change lever unbolts just wondered about the length of the input shaft
-
Input shaft is different too :-(
-
oh more money think i should get a mountain bike
-
If you get stuck... I've got a 4 cyl LT77 here for sale... but I'm in Dorset, so it's a bit of a trek.
