I think I have got the steal of the century with my new rover, a 1999 T reg 110 td5, 99,000 miles and it has only just had a new gearbox. No oil leakes AT ALL  and there is absolutley no rust on it either  . The interior still looks brand new. It is ex Environment agencies, and has a full dealer service history.
I have secured all this for the princley sum of £4000.
What do you guys think, is it a good price or is this actually only an average price for ex utilities highish milage 110 TD5's?
-
Seems like an excellent deal to me! I would have though they would be about double that!
-
A little below average i would say. But it will have been well looked after and it sounds in great nick, so it sounds like u have an above average vehicle at a below average price. That = Good Deal :D
-
BARGAIN! where did you get that from ? as your not far from me!
-
Bromley..... a Truck specialist. I will ask when I pick it up if he is intending on getting any more for that money.
I was right with my prediction then...... So what is the average price you would expect to pay for my new toy then?

for that one... without seeing it... high 8k maybe 9K

 8)

8 or 9?!!?!? no chance mate.
Maybe 5 or 6.
Td5's arent holding their value.

I take it your not paying the VAT on it.There happens to be one on Autotrader from the same firm which is down as a TDi not TD5.

you think?
accident damaged ones up here are going for 3-4K
-
At that higher mileage?
Search on auto trader for round here only reveals lower mileagae ones for 8k or so. Two years ago i turned down a 90k mile Td5 for 8995 dues to the miles. And that was two years ago and at a place thats known for overcharging!
Mike come down here if you want one!

Managed to get my 2001 TD5 110 hardtop with 80k miles on it for just under £7000, but that was including vat... but then I was dead pleased with the price. Anything from a dealer (not LR, they'd be way more) was probably a thousand more at the time.

No oil leaks you say!!!
That means it's time to top it up then!!!
-
you could be right!!! :D It is gonna be odd not seeing patches of black marking its parking space, as the Pinkie drops an oil slick where ever she goes.......
-
i looked in the back of LRO and the defender centre have some ex agency 110's and they are a few thousand more than yours.
-
I think we are all agreed its still a bargain yes?
-
BARGAIN OR NOT (AND I THINK IT WAS), ALL THAT MATTERS IS YOUR HAPPY WITH IT. :D :D
