Just go to the main dealer, they're about 45p or something.

Its only when I have to jack the body up for any reason then they pop out thats all.
Just dont want them popping out while in the muddy stuff

The dampers are supposed to stop the bags over extending.  Great to know that many of the OEM shocks sold as standard length are too long then

If you jack the car up and the shock doesn't prevent the air bag over extending then it popping off the mounts is the least of your worries

Kind of yes.  Not that they are shot particulalry though I found that Pro-Comp just gave me a better ride, though a bit harder at first.

Mainly you need to avoid hanging the axle on the suspension, so if you off-road then either new shocks or leather retaining straps round the axles.

Have you seen what my LSE can do on air though

Nice  LSE (and private plate)

So how long would the new shocks have to be :?:  :?:  :?:

I mean standard size or uprated etc etc etc :?:

What gave it away for me was when I ordered some plus 1" ProComp for RRR and the front ones were shorter than the OEM ones I had for the LSE :?
So I questioned it with Explorer (pro-comp importer) and it turns out that the OEM ones are too long.

So if you buy aftermarket shocks then they need to be standard elngth as originaly defined by Rover.

Fortunatley the back ones still seem to be the right length, so you can measure those.

I guess the front ones are shared with another vehicle so the 2 applications get the same shock.

My LSE sits on plus 1" at the front and plus 2" at the back, though I might have to swap them as my sensors will go out of range.

My airbags are Arnott GIII from the 'states.
