Hi,
Firstly, electrics have never been my strong point, so sorry for being stupid here!
Last light the rear indicator packed up on my 90. Took the bulb out and noticed that the whole indicator unit was corroded and needed replacing. No problem - ordered one today and continued to drive the Landie.
Got home and all the indicators are now not working. Fuse is OK, but no noise from the flasher unit - but there was when there was only 3 indicators working earlier. I don't suspect the flasher unit, but could be very wrong!
Hmmmm puzzled as to where to start looking now.
Any ideas out there and I am struggling!
Cheers

Come on guys - there must be somebody out these who has an idea as to what's wrong? Can anybody help me out with this one?
Just to add another bit of info to the problem... ...the hazards work fine, so I guess this rules out the flasher unit?!
Any ideas pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease as Landie now off the road (yes I know that 's where it should be!!!)
Cheers in anticipation,

pmsl at your last couple of sentences
afink the hazards run off a different circuit and fuse than the indicators, but i cant remember for sure with out going out and checking in my 90 or looking in the destruction manuel which is somewhere
but it could be earth problems
it could be the fuse
or it could be the flasher relay itself
when you put hazzards on do the lights illuminate ? or nothing ? as that would cancel out earth problems as the light up :? right :?:
so it brings it back to the fuse or flasher relay

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your response.
Yep, when I throw the hazard switch, the 3 remaining bulbs light up fine...
...will try to change the indicator unit which is totally corroded and see if it helps, but any further ideas about the fuse(s) or relay would the gratefully received.
Cheers!

wel the hazards run off a complet different fuse as to the indicators, cant remember positions off top of head but it will tel you on the fuse cover
to access the flasher relay, the big panel with all the fuses on, its behind that, so you need to undo the two big cross head screws and gently move it forward so you can see down the back of panel, itll be a blue colour relay, most of them are that ive seen, but cant vary
IIRC its the one on the drivers side
i will have a look at my 90 in the morning aswel, however i cant garuntee as i tend to still be a zombie when i climb into the 90 in the morning
