Just got a 92 disco, love it to bits....made a great big heavy duty bumper for it already but need to fit some fatter tyres on it,,,right i know there is a sticky on tyres and i know there are a million posts on here about them, but that is the problem,i now have tyre sizes floating in front of my eyes and am so confused i think me pore little brain has finaly turned to cider!!!!!pic below shows the alloys i have(was gonna change them, but to good to get rid of really)whats the largest tyres i can fit on them, good stock springs, not gonna lift it,like it just the way it is,,(just need fatter tyres).
right thats over and done with, dont shoot the new boy,,,
thanks for reading this rubbish post all.....[/img]

if you look at my aviator pic you'll see mine sitting on 245/70r16's.
Thats the biggest that will go before you have to mod the wheel arches.
-
not to worried about cutting the arches, front i think will be fine with the bumper i made, back i can cut if needs be.
thanks for the fast responce mate...
-
no worries, if you don't mind a little cutting then the 245/75R16 is the next size up. These are a little fatter, you need to cut about 2" from the lower rear wheel arch, not much involved
Front wheel arches are not effected with this size.

nice looking bumper that u got any pics from teh front??

If it's standard height I'd suggest 235/70 R16. If you buy remoulds then you'll find a MT a little bigger than a road tyre the same size.
Shame you're so far mate or I'd offer to lend you some to try.

Hi MaZza,
Do you have any plans (dimensions) for your front bumper as I have a welder sitting in my shed dying to get fabricating

more pics below....gonna put some recovery points either side of the number plate to finish it off...
