Just ordered a nice set of 265 75 15 Insa Turbos for the 110 from Lewis 4x4 - £259.99 delivered, bargain!
Can't wait to get them on now, goign to stick them on my Wolf rims - should fit ok shouldn't they and how much should I expect to pay a local garage to fit?
Thanks

They look like a solid set of boots - good buy. I've noted the name.
Enjoy getting them wet...

Don't be surprised if the tyre fitters comment on the rims being less than a recommended width (Wolf rims are 6.5" wide, most manufactures say a 7" rim for the 265).
Then again, don't be surprised if they don't.
Cheers

Thanks Eeyore, shouldnt be a problem for me though should it?
I don't want to fit them to dodgy rims if they present any risk for me.

Should be all right, but it could be a plan to look for some slightly wider rims when costs allow, especially if you notice any odd wear patterns.
For info, it usually costs me about a tenner per wheel to get tyres swapped but our most reliable local place is a franchised chain. :( Our very friendly local supplier was lot cheaper, until he sold up.

I'm worried now about putting them on my Wolf Wheels!!
Would they be any better on Disco steels as I've ot a set of those floating about as well?
-
They would be better off on the disco steels as these are 7" wide bit they also have an appaling offset, possibly worse than your wolf wheels so it would be up to you whether you want a turning circle.

no they wouldnt - disco steels arent load rated for a 110. they will fit fine on the wolf rims.... bf goodrich 255/85's recommended width are 6.5" to either 7.5" or 8", one or the other. a single cm (5mm each side of the tyre) isnt going to make much if any difference at all, dont worry about it :)

Thanks everyone, tyres are coming on monday and will get them fitted to the wolfs either on one of the following weekdays if I can be bothered to drive the 110 the 60 mile round trip to work, or at the weekend when I could pop to a local garage.
Will post pics when sorted!

oop forgot about that, yep definatly put em on the wolfs if you want to be above board.
Sorry, will.

set of 4 or a set of 5? for that price?
-
4.
Actually went to MM 4x4 on Sat and they knock em out for £60 each as well.
-
I notice nobody has picked up on the fact youve ordered 15" tyres and are planning on fitting to 16" rims???? the width is irrespective?? :) hope the original post is a typo or you could be buying new wheels as well :)
Cheers Steve

Well spotted electricbrownbeaver - but that was my mistake, should have read 16s!!
-
Got them fitted now and first impressions are good, decent enough road manners just need to test them in the muddy stuff now!!
-
nice one, they're looking wicked then ;)
-
love em
-
sexy!!!! looks good

Only problem now is that they just catch when on full lock, which is a bit of a pain - can i adjust the stops in any way?
-
Looks good.
Do they fit the wolf rims OK?

yep - if you look on the front wotsit just behind the wheel, theres a nut bolt thing to adjust
-
ta, i'll have a look when i get a chance - love the light nights!
regarding the wolf rims, 265s seem fine on them.
-
Do they fit on standard land rover rims??

That's the steering stops. Wind the lock full one way until the tyre catches the radius arm and then back off a little. Wind out the steering stop bolt on the opposite side until it makes contact with the hub/axle. Wind the steering lock the other way and repeat.
Or just leave them as they are, wait til they make a BRRRRRR noise when cornering and back off a bit!!!
