I thought it was a sort of rumbling noise getting louder the worse the bearing gets?
I have this squeek which only happens when you go round a left hand bend, like a wheel bearing, but it goes when I put my brakes on - is it brake related?
Thank You in advance!

when my front one was worn it gave a hum when i turned into a corner.
if its a squeek have a look and see if the brake shield is rubing against the disc .i also have a squeek but am yet to find it

My old car it hummed for about 3 weeks  Then all of a sudden nothing.......
.....as the wheel fell off... but the noise of the car hutting the hedge was something like a loud thud!

diffrent to 1 tht is new

When my bearing went i got sqecks and it started to pull to one side, also grab hold of the wheel and give it a shake do it before you drive down the road and this happens,

If you jack up the wheel so it is off the ground and give it a wobble, if there is any play you would probably feel it.Could be worn pads, stone or mud caught somewhere, especially if you have been off road. The mud shield may be catching.I would just have the wheel off and give it a visual check.
I had a horrendous noise under my motor the other day, feared the worst, turns out i had a branch caught on the exhaust.....
