Title: Grrrr!
Post by: TechnoTurkey on February 19, 2007, 13:39:48
Took my new toy to work today, just went out to have a look at lunchtime and I've got a very flat front tyre.

That would be ok, but no jack, no wheel brace, no spare.........

LOL...I pity the fool.

I had a thought last week that I wouldn't want to caught out like that.

So I went to screwfix and got a bottle jack (with 20% off) and also a wheelbrace.

No help to you though!!

Hi Daz,

I'm stuck over in Evesham at the moment so prob a bit out of your way.

I've made a call to the local tyre place who are hopefully going to come out and sort it for me this afternoon.

Many thanks for the offer though.

Sorted!  The local guys drove over, took the wheel off, back to their place, fixed it and brought it back and refitted for the grand price of £10 - can't complain at that.

I didnt even know they'd done it until someone in the office said they'd seen them!

You should have said. I only live 5 miles from evesham

Can bring the kit over for 17:30 if you want as it's equal distance to evesham as it is to home.

Won't cost you a penny either.

Even better is that due to laziness, I've still got the trolley kack in the car after not being arsed to take it out this wknd!

One of my colleague's Dad's is the Manager at Evesham Kwickfit so may have been able to get you a discount!

You can't go wrong for £10 though!!

Here's where we all laugh when you have a puncture and realise you can't get the bottle jack under the axle with a deflated tyre?? LOL

I'd best keep the trolley jack nearby then!
