Has anyone any ideas about my VIC display telling me I have a brake light fault ?
The lights all work yet once I touch the brake pedal after starting the engine it bleeps and says there's a fault.
The display seems ok otherwise, just this annoying flashing display and a ding/bling noise everytime.... :?
I will deffo have to get a Haynes manual ... even if its only to cover up the display unit !
Pass the duck tape please !

have you double checked the bulbs are the same watt?

I had the same prob a while ago , turned out to be one of the three bulbs in the high level brake light on the tailgate.
-
Thanks IOM & Sardonicus ..... errr 3 bulbs ?
Will check em out thanks. The missus just said "Ok they work" when I asked her to watch when I hit the pedal.

Yea all three bulbs in place, but 2 of them are wrong wattage !
Local "garages" sell everything from Almond paste to Zebra finch food..... but have they got any car spares ?
I will let you guess !
Halfords here I come ....

Halfords here I come ....
Not recommended - we've had a spate of duff bulbs from Halfrauds - went over to Lucas bulbs and no problems.
-
No issue with Halfords bulbs here...

Halfrauds didn't have any (522 capless) so I ended up at main dealer. £4 for three didn't seem too bad.
All sorted now and can blind the s*ds behind me when I brake !
5 x 21 watts is a lot of light !
I don't think Halfrauds had ever heard of the bulb I needed... wasn't listed at all. They have 75 different types of headlamp bulb, though I did notice that most were labelled as "for off road use only". Does that mean they are selling illegal conversions and covering their backs with that disclaimer on the packaging ?
How many blinged up Vauxhall Corsas go off road :?:

I got my Xenons from Bulbsdirect's website. Only took a couple of days
-
Just looked at bulbsdirect.com ... some nice daffies there but no Xenons :!:
