missus wants a vitara to use day to day and to take off road on odd occasion she likes the 2 door soft top one not fat boy ones
what to look out for when buying
are they ok off road ive seen other suzukis off road and quiet inpresed

One word "rust" pull up every carpet and look and poke every where.Wheel arches,cills, under the carpets near the rear door.Like most jap cars they are a good set of mechanics encased in a body made of bean tins.

The PVC soft-tops go brittle and crack/come apart all over. You'll be looking at about £200 ish for a nice new denim best-top which will even survive scratchy lanes. Bear this in mind when you buy.
Ours also needed a new exhaust and if theres no heatsheild, check the manifold for cracks. 16V injection is better than 8v carb, that said it seemd to take a lot to stop a carb engine once its all sealed, as Fingers 'are you sure thats not a deisel' Mclain will tell you :)

:D :D I have a soft top Vit and it's a brill vehicle with a grin factor off the scale...when the sun's out it's off with the roof and life's different again...the heaters marvellous when it's cold and it's the familys first vehicle of choice...we love it...only down side is it's small carrying capacity but thats a small price to pay for the fun factor... :D :D
