http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/NEW_PRODUCTS/Britpart_Winches/Britpart_Winch_DB12000i.html
anybody got any good/bad points?
-
think there was an article in a magazine about them they are good from what i read but i could be wrong
-
Article was in June 2006 TOR They were winching a series III around 25 feet straight up a quarry wall with it
Got a good write up
-
If your looking at budget winches i can reccomend the "Champion" range from winch solutions
-
didnt realise the BRITPART one was a "budget" one.
is it a false economy?
i would only be using it on a handfull of days a year. i know someone recommended the Superwinch EP9 to me before but it was a bit expensive when i l;ooked into it, just thought this one was ok and had a large pulling capacity.

Pulling a series 3 up a vertical quarry wall has a lot to say for it even for a budget, as I said the write up was impressive - enough for me to think pricing would be the same as Warn

Just out of interest whats the difference between the EP9 and the EPi9?
-
EPi9 has build in solenoids housed above the winch afaik.
-
i has solenoids integrated into winch housing over the drum.
with ep9 you can remote mount the solenoids
cheers
