Post by: deli hustler on January 09, 2007, 21:04:11
hi all

I want to lift my delica.
Anyone know how and where to get the bits from?

try exploreruk, am i correct in saying that they use exactly the same suspension as the pajero? i know the engines and chassis are the same.

you will need Explorer pro comp ES9000 shocks X4
+2" over rated rear springs  X2 for the rear.
Then you can just wind the front torsion bars up a little to level it off or you can buy up rated torsin bars from explorer but i dont think you realy need them.
I used to run a MK2 pajero on this set up with 33" tyres off road and had no problems.

Explorer can be found  HERE (http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/)

and i've been now told they have markers on the torsion bars, I'm ordering some longer springs and get the front end sorted so I won't get suck every time I go offroad

measure from the hub centre to a vertical point on the top of the wheel arch, use the same point each side then adjust untill they are both the same at the desired new hight but dont go up more than 25 mm as the ride will get to hard and you could end up riding on the bump stops ;)

If it's a Mk1 delica(L300) then the suspension is very similar to a Paj whereas the MK2 delica(L400) has the torsion bar attached to the other wishbone and also the chassis isn't as strong on the L400 around the suspension mounts (so i was told by a guy who has lifted a few Delis L300 and L400's) Be warned winding up the torsion bars can put stress on the chassis of an L400 resulting in cracks.
