Well, given that's a website address, and not an email address, I don't think you can really blame them  :D

I am gonna make my own system -  just gonna get some 75mm pipe and chat up Robbie to borrow his pipe bender.

the only issue I have unanswered at the minute is about cutting a nice neat 80mm hole!

light sabre.....now thats a good idea - Use the force !

I shall probaly end up like you say drilling loads of little holes and joining them up but I suspect that it will look crap because of the tatty edge

That's easily sorted, I can sell you a nice exhaust finisher for the body work!!

As mentioned my exhaust was made by Chris at www.exactfabrication.co.uk - if you want any pictures give me a shout.

Mine is 2.5" stainless steel tubing - virtually straight through with one small silencer underneath.

In all honesty anything bigger than 2.5" isn't really needed.... with 2.5" you will be flowing more than enough exhaust gas.

And hole wise, you need more than 5mm clearance... or else the exhaust will bang like mad!!!

Ian

so what bore is that pipe?

like the finisher, where did that come from?

how is the finisher held on?

would need for the lip on the inside to be deep as it would have to go thru the chequer plate as well as the panel.

i will pm you when the deed is done!

Hidden screws!! - bolts go into the back of the finisher, prefer the fact you can't see the mounting bolts!!

To make the lip deeper isn't a problem.... can make them any size needed.

This is how not to do it, the previous owner cut a big square hole in the new td5 rear body then covered it over with chequer plate with a hole for the exhaust. the exhaust was a right bodge and it rattled really bad so i have fitted a std one on.

What am i going to do about the big hole??

I have the same as Ian but without the trick silencer. My finisher is by Devon 4x4. Pic in my gallery.
