Title: Diff question for Delica
Post by: strangerover on December 10, 2006, 00:11:48
I have done a bit of trawling through the boards here and in OZ but am not able to nail an answer....

I have a L400 2.8TD

I want a LSD rear axle....

what can I use ?
Can I use a Pajero Differential in my axle case ? (I believe I can) but which one ? can I just use a complete Shogun axle ??

What ARB air locker goes in the front / rear axle ? are there other options ?

I have tried ARB dealers over here in the UK and they do not get back to me, the Delica was a "grey import" and they do not seem interested all the off road places are Land rover or Suzuki biased over here.....

so any and all info welcomed please

The delicious is totally shogun underneath, just a different body so an equivilent axle (ie 2.8td etc) should be a straight swap!

Dont forget the shogun/delica axle dilemma...a weak point is the rear axle, they snap on the welds, so periodically check the weld! Can be very very messy when they go! They wipe out the rear end nicely!! lol!

I have found one with a locking diff...

its electric I understand..

I'm sure it can't be too hard to wire in

If you have any probs, take a part loom from a V6 94 model on, as these had locking centre and rear as standard. Trace the loom back, chop and graft on to yours in a similar position!
