You need to feel down the back of the seat and there should be some pins. Push those in and you should then be able to take the headrest out.
Hope that helps! :P

Cheers MM,

Do you mean that I should reach up inside the seat cover?

If so how does the seat cover come undone?

You might be able to do it with the cover still on they should stick out if your cover is quite tight if not you will probably have to lift the back up. #I think there is a plastic strip that unclips so you can get it off.

Well I wish someone had told me that there were push in pins or whatever.  I made a tiny hole in the rear cover and drifted it out with hammer and punch.

I'm mithering about different seats but I have spent a fair while getting it all back to stock.

It's panto season - chorus: Oh no it won't.

Well mine didn't and I wasn't shy. It took some real thumping to get the headrest off.

I have given it a good tug a few times...

Still couldn`t get it to come out.

Well is their pins to push in or is it a big hammer job?

Try feeling for the pins if not hammer or as a last reort and you dont want to put the headrests back on just cut them off! :P

No, no, no - the hammer will work. Just makes sure you hit the right bit and use a drift that might have to fit inside the bit the headrest pushes into.

Sorted,

Took the seat out. Undid the cover by pulling apart the plastic connector, its like undoing those air tight freezer bags. Rolled the cover right up and found where the headrest slots into the seat. As doc said it was then a case of hammering the headrest bit that slides into the frame. Rolled the cover back down and pressed the plastic connector back together.

Have now got a seat that doesn't make me hunch forward, bliss. Am now cutting some 40mm box section to raise the height of the seat.

Thanks to all that replied......much appreciated......
