Can anyone tell me the differences between my ex military 2a & a civy 2a?

the military rear corssmember is different to the civvy one (yours is straight and the civvy ones have angled bits at the end)

You also have an extra outrigger on the passenger side that is there to hold the 2nd fuel tank that is under the passenger seat up (assuming it is still there)

Yea, the tank under the passenger seat is still there, the drivers side one isn't though! Should it have sill panels, or didn't military ones have them?

Errrr..

The headlamp rings are dfferent,
The side / tail / indicator lenses are glass with fins,
There might still have the MillI ID plate on the seatbox or bulkhead,
The engine if it hasn't been replaced will be DEB colour,
There should be a 6 Position light switch,
The gearbox might have a tie rod to the chassis,
The front axle is likely to have an extra strengthening peice welded to it.

Hope that helps the above are a few things that will help ID an ex mill kandy.

Cheers Devon Rover, what is DEB colour, & what does the light switch look like, don't know what they all do yet? Can't find the ID plate but the rest sounds right.

DEB ( Duck Egg blue) A light blue greeny colour.

The light switch should be to the right of the dash, and have the ignition key in the middle. it has 6 positions. ranging from H.S.C (Head, side, convoy) to just C (convoy)
It is a black twist switch.
There is various combos like H.S / C / S.T / H.S.T / C.T ( C= Convoy H = Head lights S = Side lights T = Tail lights )

The LWB version does have the extended shackles and spring hangers. as it has to deal with a 3/4 ton payload and dependent on the operation circumstances they might of been fitted with 9.00x16's IIRC. like the pink panthers.

This is how your cross member differs from a normal one:

Though mine is a military chassis with a civvy crossmember fitted.
