need to collect an engine on short notice.

			-
If it will fit, it won't do the suspension much good. :(

			-
go in with the seats down, but then the micra wont be able to move!

				PMSL

   In a Micra.
I knackered an Astra trying that. The Micra has no chance.

			-
IIRC the 2.5 td is around 200 Kilos

			-
In that case it's about the weight of 3 light adults in the boot.  If you drive carefully I don't see why this will wreck your Micra.

			-
get it as far forward as pos! should be ok, i had a pinto in the boot of a mk2 astra once and that was fine

			-
it'll be ok, as it wont weigh anymore than 3 lads on the back seats, quite how you'd lift it in and out is another matter, you'd need to slide it in on a board or something....

I once had a sportrack motor in the back of (well middle)a fiat panda,
boy did that baby fly down hill

i think its more Kgs than that
I reckon that they should put it in just for a laff - be sure to post the pics!

If you reach in with an engine hoist you should be able toget it over the back seat but be sure to spread the load with a piece of plywood or similar, a thick piece.
The post us some pictures
Micra, hell you can't get 3 big blokes in the back of one.

had a full v8 in th back of my polo, made some of the humps on the borders roads a little entertaining and the look on the driver behinds face, when he over took and saw a viscous fan spinning through the back window was.......priceless.
Tip: a board to help spread and absorb the load is good, but if other cars can see it -drive with a front window open so the draught catches the fan
 :D

			-
Make sure the micra is rust free!

			-
   It might be worth getting some tractor weights to counter balance the front end
Just remember to not hit the brakes to hard because you won't stop too quickly   and when you get back call the scrappy!

			-
HAVE YOU DUN IT YET!

			-
lmao , nope , the micra got off lucky this time , got a van and trailer to collect it instead.
next time though....

A v8 is probably less than half the weight of the 2.5TD
I have to admit that i wouldn't try, 200Kg is probably on the low side, i think it may be closer to 300 with all the bits attached.

MY LOCK IS ALWAYS ON AS ALL MY PASWORDS ARE CAPITALS SO I JUST LEAVE IT ON, NOT VERY OFTEN I DO LITTLE WRITTING.
OR JOINED UP FOR THAT MATTER.

			-
Im sure it can be done.
Moved a vauxhall 2.0 16v with gearbox in my old pug.........

The micra did get off light, i used my work van and a borrowed trailer with a dodgey wheel bearing, but hey we got it there in one piece...
Cheers
