Does anyone know of an insurance company who is Suzuki friendly? The cheapest quote I could get from the usual suspects was from the AA. I pay £620 fully comp on my V6 and that is as standard with no mods. I'm in Birmingham, I'm 35, I have 12 years no claims and I've had a full liscence for 17 years. I reckon that's too much. I only pay £420 fully comp on my 3.2 XJ6 Jag!

is it a soft top? that tends to push it up due to the ease in which access can be obtained
-
No, 5 door estate.

Try Adrian Flux, they are "mod" friendly too. :)

i use greenlight insurance (01277263030) as long as it's your second car they are quite good , and they also cover the mods

i was with greenlight and they were cheap but when it came to renew they told me they no longer cover 4x4s!! i then found adrian flux, who i am now insured with on my modded sj410 fully comp for only £150 a year (limited milage as its my 2nd car for mainly off road use). I thought it was a bargain. They do require pics though, and i still aint got round to taking them yet lol, they will get [!Expletive Deleted!] at me soon i think!! great price though.

Thats good, I'm looking at an sj as a second car for a bit of fun, very reasonable, whats the milage restriction?

For a non-modified vehicle, it's well worth sticking your details into www.confused.com
Our Series 3 costs us the massive total of 85 quid a year to insure through them.

Unfortunately, it's the painful advert that puts me off them! Not the effect their advertising team were aiming for, I'm sure  I see their latest ones don't have the guy shouting at you like your deaf any more.
On topic though, I have both mine through Firebond. £150 for the LR and £115 for the Zuke if I remember correctly. But I am an old git (Sarah's words!) which has it's advantages

I was with Firebond (very cheap :) ) unitl I discovered that they don't give you any no claims bonus. I guess there had to be a reason for being cheap :)

boggert, i opted for a 1500 mile limit but you could choose more if you want. i only did 600 miles last year! and you can always disconnect your speedo for a bit if you were getting close to the limit, its only one screw, lol.
-
Firebond cover modifications, but not suspension lifts.
Roadsure cover all modifications, £105 TPFT for my SJ on a limited mileage 2nd car policy.

Strange, Firebond covered my old SJ with a 3" spring lift :)
-
Did you tell them clearly that it was a "lift". I had a long conversation with them and they cover suspension modifications if it has been lowered. If you told them the suspension was modified by 3" perhaps they misunderstood.
-
It was clearly explained to them, in writing, that it was a "lift", with D-Flex, extended shocks, 31's, 32mm spacers, 410 T-Box, winch, arches cut out and extended and how it all worked etc. I didn't have a body lift (it didn't need it) so maybe that went in my favour? Who knows :)

A pity you not over 50 Age Concern do great deals LOL!!!
