Got a question about the above oil as it doesn't say it isn't for Diesels and have already put it into the engine. Even the castrol website doesn't specify either. Only bonus is that i've only done about 30 miles so far. any ideas would be appreciated.

Only thing I can find on google is from the Motor World website -
Castrol GTX High Mileage is recommended primarily for petrol engines.
I would say change it quick as you can.

I had seen that too, still not very precise though so I will get some more oil tonight and give it a change. cheers.

I've been using the Magnatec GTD 10W40 in mine, usually quite a good price from Asda

It will do no harm whatsoever but Diesle oils contain additives to controll the soot and [PooPoo] that comes from burning coal, sorry Diesel and antiacids and stuff.
I use this stuff http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Magnum-15w40-15-40-Long-Life-Engine-Oil-2-5-US-galls_W0QQitemZ230030273102QQihZ013QQcategoryZ28641QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

I called the Castrol Tech Dept and they said that there would be no problems running with the oil, he only mentioned about the different types of additives in the different oils ie seal enhancers and soot preventers.

Was that a big sigh of relief I just heard

Went through the manuals contacted the manufacture, got the spec, guess what it was the cheapest oil our supplier sold, you wouldnt have thought it was up to the job.
