Hi Matthew,
It's Brendan here from PetrolPrices.com. Just a quick email to let you know 2 things.
Firstly, a bit of good news, there is a fuel price war going on at the moment sparked off by the supermarkets reducing their prices. This means you can now save even more using our site. This is because as the prices change, some petrol stations are slower to respond than others, leaving bigger price differences. This makes PetrolPrices.com even more useful to compare prices before you fill up.
good news i think :(contented):

Yeah I filled up yesterday for 94.9p :(biggrin): and I dont care if someone got it cheaper today cos I thought that was a bargain
-
I will have a look at site and see ! :?
-
Yeah i noticed my station actually dropped the price by 3p litre yesterday.
Funny how happy we are to fill up for 95p litre and the yanks are complaining about "record high gas prices" @ 40p... and we get called the whinging poms/limeys!
-
I filled up for 103.9p a litre at Toddington services this afternoon
The company pool car with the company fuel account card that is
-
Our diesel went down by 8p a litre, seems as though the supermarkets are listening to customers for once!
-
I've just driven past Sainsbury's on the Wyvern in Derby, and they've got unleaded for 92.9!!!
Shell's a penny or so more in the vicinity.
(Didn't notice diesel, as I've not got one at the moment, so I'm not "programmed" to notice).

Cheapest round here is actually a Texaco garage at 96.9p for now. Couldn't quite belive it when I read it.
-
Yes, on my way back the other day i passed numerous petrol stations 15+ miles away with cheap fuel, diesel @ 92.9 etc. I get back to our local ones (tesco and shell) and they have dropped to 98.9, but its hardly a lot.
For some reason they always rip us off on fuel round here
-
Take a look at the site and sign up. I get daily Mails re the best prices in a 10 mile radius
-
One of the cheapest around here is Newport pagnell service station on the M1  94.9ppl

Having just come back from France where diesel was about 1Euro (68p!) for a litre it will still seem expensive to me for a while.
Neil
-
My local esso now doing uleaded at 92.9p/litre.- dropped by 6p/litre in the last week.
-
Please noooo stop it. :troll:
Joe mug brimed the Disco last week before all this kicked off becorse I knew i'd be working lots of shifts and not have any time to get any fuel during the week.. :-({|=
-
what's bad is we've been conditioned to think that 92.9p/l is cheap. We paid 10p/l in Egypt and that wasn't as cheap as the diesel. We're still being ripped off buy the Government.

have done it's great I know where to fill up now
-
I topped up at the ASDA in Wakefield this afternoon at 93.9p
(cheapest I've seen it round here)
-
How long ago was it 72p/l?
Not all that long if recollect correctly.
As someone said we're being stiffed both by the government and the petrol companies and that's damn all we can do about it.

i managed to fill up yesterday in Aberdeen for 92.6p per litre best price i have seen for a long while around here.
-
Some of it is because demand is growing, the pacific rim and China are driving more cars, badly, that is to say they produce a lot of emissions. This is partly why the tax burdon is so high then, to make fuel expensive everywhere.
Thing is when crude goes up the gov't makes so much in refinery tax they could drop the pump tax and still be quids in, without leaking us off so much, but we are a soft target so they keep milking us dry. We won't stop buying it, just resent them for taxing us so much and probably spend a little less on maintaining our cars instead, or insuring them, or maybe start stealing fuel a bit more often.......
Trouble is Gov't never thinks about that do they?
Hang on, Gov't, think, mutualy exclusive terms anyway
-
i filled up yesterday 49.9ppl
though that was in guernsey
-
Might be a idea to fill up while it's cheaper as Hurricane Ernesto is forecast to go across Cuba and int the Gulf of Mexico, you can guarantee if any of the oil wells get hit up goes the price of petrol.
-
I'm going to New England for my Hols soon so I'm looking forward to all that cheapo fuel. Seeing as it's so cheap I booked a 4.2 litre Chevy Trailblazer for the hire car - 15 to 19 mpg!!!.
-
i filled up yesterday 49.9ppl
It was that price when i started driving 16 years ago

Funny, it never goes down when they fix the refineries........
-
Asda merry hill is 91.9p for unleaded and 93.9p for diesel ;)
-
Surprisingly it is now exactly the same price as it was this time last year!!!
-
i always remember my brother saying that when it hits a pound a GALLON he'd sell his car - guess what its a pound a LITRE and hes still got one !!
-
But remember, it's not as expensive as it was in the 70's... and that's in actual cash terms, not allowing for inflation. We (*) were paying over £5 per gallon. People forget.
Not that there is any excuse for the horrific taxation levels the motorist has to put up with today.
* - when I say 'we', of course I don't mean me..... Im not *that* old!!
