Well for the 2nd time this week the fire crews have been out. Today we had 4 landrover hicaps and 4 main units + the police helicopter doing thermal checks after the main fire was out.

the other week the was a fire round, someone set a wheat field alight which sprend to and other field and to a foot path, and theres only 2 fire engines to putting it out

We are lucky as we have so many units available in a close area.
Saturday we had 5 units and 4 hi-caps . They were here for 4 hours jut puuting it out ! Pics are on PLCUK re that one.

:( another heath fire, which heath was it this time??
We used to have these problems several times every summer without fail, i used to live on the Broadstone side of Upton heath..most of which has been destroyed by little scroats setting fires in recent years :evil:

my mates a fireman, you wouldnt beieve the amount he has been to this summer, cut corn fiels, kids setting stuff alight and it gets out of hand etc.
and its bloody hard work putting them out! i watched them do one the other evening!

Its ferndown/parley common.
The camera is a cannon powershot A410. Only small but has loads of features.
I was impressed myself with the chopper pics as there was a lot of dust and I was wobbling all over the shop :shock:
