Title: CB mount on spare wheel holder
Post by: Jake on July 26, 2006, 20:46:15
I brought a new aerial mount for my CB at Billing
Its a side mount version as usually seen on the rear roof's of Defenders.
I've mounted it to my Devon 4x4 spare wheel carrier.
I ran the wire through one of the 6 bolt holes and through the head lining to the roof mounted rig.
I'm well pleased with it.
I might get a different aerial in time though, just for more visible (and higher) lenght.

There are cable ties around the spare wheel to prevent this.

I did a similar thing on mine, see THIS (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=10464&highlight=wheelcarrier) thread, only I kept all the bolts in the carrier and drilled a hole in the rear door skin under the wiper motor.
