Title: Squeeking 90 td5
Post by: vtrdaz on July 04, 2006, 12:28:40
yes i know they all squeek!
But this one sounds like it might be coming from a wheel on the near side.
it happens once it's warmed up (usually on the motorway) and only happens when there is a little bit of steering input - it sounds like a brake squeel but it doesn't happen when i brake..
It doesn't sound like a belt squeal , i'm just worried somethings about to pack up!
I've had a look underneath but nothings obvious.

If it only happens after a while it could be brake squeal, from a sticking caliper which will get hotter and hotter, and worse and worse!

Otherwise its got to be somthing that is missing its lubricant, thus gets hot, expands and squeeks.

it doesn't feel like theres a caliper binding - all the disks look ok and not "blued"
