The last few days the 90 has started vibrating when getting over 35, get to 40 and it still vibrates with a droning noise from down below.
I swapped a dodgy UJ which has not solved, topped up the DIFF and TRANSFER box, checked for anything loose, nothing.
It feels as if the wheel bearing on the rear off side is gone (wheels moves).
Any thoughts what could be causing my problem ? Could stiff UJ's cause this ?

if the wheel moves will probally be what you say..mine went last year

Ive had noise vibration from x2 causes:-
1/ Dried mud throwing out the wheel balance.... vibration @ 50mph.
2/ Wheel bearings needed tightening... vibration @ 38mph.
Both of the above can be driven through to smooth running, not sure what yours may be if its continuous.

Yep I had a similar problem. wheel bearings were on the way out. Had them all changed then still noticed a wobble at 60mph. Had the wheels balanced and it did the trick. Kwick fit couldnt do it thay could get my wheels on the balancer thingy!

See other post on this, vibration only occurs when accelerating, ease off the pedal and it stops, well reduces dramatically. Wondering now if I have used a knackered UJ, or the prop shatf(s) are on the way out.

Sounds a bit like a knackered UJ to me if it only happens under
acceleration. Had similar symptons on mine 18 months ago, turned
out to be UJ on front prop shaft at the gearbox end. Couldn't feel any
play etc, when fitted, once i removed it, it was obvious - partially siezed.

mine developed a vibration when accelerating then a squeaking - located the propblem to the front prop. And before i managed to change it it snapped whilst slowing down from 70mph on the A14 - not good, it has dented my chassis and floor pan on the passenger side. plus it was a tad scary with all of the noise and vibration. luckily I managed to pull up ok as it came off at the transfer box end rather than the front diff end.
I now have a new one on the way from Philtractor

If your wheel is moving then it's pretty certain to be a wheel bearing. Get it changed ASAP... left too long it can damage the stub axle too and then a 20 quid repair becomes an 80 quid repair :shock:

It could also be a swivel bearing. If you get play when you hold the wheel at "six o'clock" AND at "quarter to three" then I would say wheel bearing. If you only get play at "six o'clock" then it's probably a swivel bearing".

Been there, done that recently. (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?p=228129#228129)It gets even more expensive when you start looking further and deciding that halfshafts aren't 100%
