Total Off Road

Total Off Road
What 'e said
-
Whichever one has articles that are of interest to me, so will vary. LRE at the moment as it has 3 pages on round 1 of the British Off Road Championship (http://www.offroadrally.com/Default.aspx?alias=www.offroadrally.com/borc). Current TOR might also be of interest, but I can't find a copy

TOR
-
i just buy the one that looks best for that month but the two i buy most are LRW and LRO.
-
'Total Off Road' for me. :D
-
I get LRW Delivered - It's a great read every month.
-
Hmm, I've never seen this TOR magazine, might have to keep my eyes open for it!
I'll also add it to the poll if i can...
-
We need an option in the pole for all the people that buy which ever mag takes there fancy the most.
or just buy them all, a new all one each week.
-
i always buy TOR and wot eva other landy mag takes me fancy
-
Ive had a go at buying various different LR mags......found LROinternational to be the most informative and caters for my Defender 90 questions better than the others.
-
We found TOR for the first time this week and got a copy and to be honest there wasnt much in there to interest us..............however if you are into the more challenging stuff then it is probably a really good mag for you to get. We like LRO and look for it every month, as Trug said it covers most of the green ovals and has lots of other useful info and stories in there.

Total Off Road
Yep, too right mate, Total Off Road.
-
Take all 4 & have done since, showing my age now & long standing LR interest.
(Still got them all as well  )
'LRO' since issue 1 (1987), but only got a full set since 1990
'LRW' since issue 1 (including the OR & 4W-D supplements/'tasters')
'LRM' since issue 2 (but got 1 afterwards)
'LRE' since issue 1
Got a few copies of 'TOR', but it wasn't always on the shelves around here.

 Thats a fair old wedge of cash BTM at 3.60 each or whatever they are now, although i guess the price wasnt always that high.

not seen it either :(
-
Used to be LROI, but now I prefer LRW, don't know why I've changed, just have. Not a fan of LRE, doesn't suit me. LRM is ok.
-
Total Off Road by choice, but since I got the Landie I think LRO is the best of the Landie mags.

I've added it for you.
-
TOR is the best........ No contest
LRO is the best LR mag.
-
I regularly buy LRO and subscribe to TOR. I like the regular features in LRO and the lanes featured in both magazines.
The tech advice is always good for a laugh too, not as bad as in classic fraud though, or practical rustbuckets either.
-
Sorry had to vote for the only one i read (LRO)
-
From my observations over the years
Nowadays, 'LRM' is probably the best mixture.
Whether that's to do with the columnists (Floyd, Elson, Crowhurst, etc......) I don''t know
'LRO' has probably the best features, as it has a big publisher behind it.
LRW was the 2nd onto the market & is fairly consistent, though has stopped some good regular columns
('Northern Notions' has made a bit of a comeback though, & Louise Limbs atricles were always welcome)
'LRE' is spot on for the historical aspect.
I know we all think there's too many adverts in the press, but it keeps the prices down & pays for the journalists to write their articles

I subscribe to LRO & LRW. Proberbly would have to say LRO is best over all and seems more relevant to my disco, but I like LRW and the clasics section by John Smith eg Series One's. Never tried LRE or LRM but do find the others over time seem to cover similar topics if from a different angle sometimes so keep thinking of just buying one a month and save a few pennies.
