Title: finally done
Post by: dminto69 on May 08, 2006, 20:27:12
hi all
as you know i have been asking questions regarding my 300 tdi which had no mods on it and got lots of info from you all and for this i would like to say thankyou .all suggestions were great some ones i was unsure of but i still appreciated them

just to let you know what ive done

it started bank holiday monday got my hands on a second hand winch bumper ,got home with it started to grind it down ended up slipping and grinding into my finger still managed to finish it and then went to the hospital .ended up getting a couple of stitches and bandaged up,so could not do no more that day.

tuesday
as per previous post you see i have put my winch and winch bumper on it was a right struggle but i got it done .

wednesday
got my snorkel and fitted it .with no real problems

thursday
ended up dropping all the oils ,doing a full service and put all new oil in gear box dif etc etc

friday
fitted the 2 inch lift kit which ended up carrying into saturday

sunday
got hold of a light bar , the challenge for the light bar was trying to keep the wires hidden so ended up drilling and feeding the wire through in my opinion this was the hardest job of the week as trying to keep the wires hidden

sorry to go on so long the only reason i have posted this was to let you all know how much your help was to me , all the best

hi the winch is a T - Max Outback 12000  and no i have not used it yet but when i was tensioning it i used my mates transit pickup did the pre tension and let the winch back out again to see how good a winch it was so we put the hand brake on the transit and it pulled it like there was nothing there so im assuming its a good one

You might find you lose the mud flaps in no time if you're going to do any serious off road stuff.
All 4 of mine have dissappeared :)

Looking good though.
