New Series concentrating on Hampshire Polices efforts to counteract the thieving scrotes in this series
-
Only 1/2 an hour this time? Will watch it anyway methinks.
-
Except this one is called traffic cops and not Car Wars, i do sometimes like watching the Road Wars series on sky 1,2 and 3 lol

Apologies
Thread title amended.
At least there's no Alistair Stewart on this format, didn't he get pulled for Drink-Driving once whilst contracted to film the 'Police Camera Action' series??
-
No idea, but loving watching these people who dont have their insurance/tax/mot/license have their cars taken away and crushed! This is what they needed as a deterrant!!
-
its all fimed in my local area that.....was quite entertaining to say the least.
-
quite interesting when the mechanic got pulled
if the car had failed the MOT, under the new rules even if the old MOT had a week to run the car would have no MOT coz under the new rules the MOT test cancels the old certificate outout
WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPEND THEN????
the copper seemed very keen to know if it had passed

Sad to hear the Officer down the Rangie though, he prefers a B*W
The Octavia was well thought of though, I've always reckoned one would make a great 'Q-car'
-
that skoda is a very sneaky car.....you just dont notice it around although its there. it blends in so well....... .....and it doesnt half shift ....
-
West Yorkshire Police has some 'old shape' Octavia vRs's, but they're full uniform Traffic cars
We have a Fabia & are highly delighted with it.
When the time comes for SWMBO company car (Mondeo Ghia TDCi) to be renewed, I think we'll be pushing for an Octavia, hopefully a vRS
-
Woody, i believe you are allowed to drive from the test centre if it fails, unless the tester deems it unfit to be on the road at all. But you must drive it straight home!
-
Doesn't cover you for not being insured. The cop was correct when he said the mechanic was covered by his business insurance although I'm suprised they didn't book him for not displaying tradeplates

I thought tradeplates covered the RFL (car tax), not the insurance ?

We had 2 '55' plate Range Rovers visit this afternoon, after a 'cross-over' on the A1 this morning.
The Officers I spoke to were perfectly happy with the Rangies
-
One of the Rangies
-
on the subject of the skoda they've had a change up and got a silver one now ! - so keep an eye out
-
I was about to say, I'm amazed that the Rangie is white as the police have started buying silver cars instead (Easier to sell on than the old white ones).
-

Yes, I always thought one would make a great 'Q-car'
and it doesnt half shift ....
It'd certainly confuse & embarrass the Saxo/Astra mob

It threw me a bit when I first saw them, but then I realised there's only white vehicles in force livery, nothing else.
-
A lot of forces are buying Silver to put into livery as well, the M-Way lot round here use Silver RRs and a couple of Volvo V70 T5s (They can flippin' Move!)
-
Yep, the local Plod's using silver Focuses (or should that be 'Foci') around here as squad cars. Still the ubiquitous Volvo T5 'Flying Bricks' or Beamers for Traffic, though ...
-
(or should that be 'Foci') ...
Yep, just like a Fleet of Lexus is a Heard of Lexi.
-

Are the performance versions of the V70 still cosidered to be a T5?
West Yorkshire Officers show some sense & don't like the B*W 5-series estates they have
