Title: wheel options for 109
Post by: MOTORSPORT_SAFETY on March 23, 2006, 22:03:30
Hi All

at last project 109 has got underway and im thinking about the wheels I have a set of BF Edgetracs I think they are that are in decent nick that I got for about a tener a rubber so not a bad deal seeing I have 6 rims here with 6 different tyres all being well bellow the limit.

Before I decided on what to go for and get the tyres changed etc what options do I have wheel wise I know that if I had a 90 / 110 I would have lots to chose from but not sure were I stand with series studd patern

Thanks guys
Paul

series stud pattern is same as a 90/110 or disco 1 / rangey.  The only prob is a rostyle and a few others wont fit as the centre hole is too small.

Oh, alloys don't fit either, the hole in the centre is too small but even milled out they dont go on due to the brakes......  Forgot to say :)

thought they fitted as long as you (a)- didnt have free wheeling hubs and (b)- didnt fit the hub covers!!

[!Expletive Deleted!] theres goes that idea of the nice shiny alloys then

Ok got free wheeling hubs on the axel I was going to use but seing I have another axel without guess that will be getting used or I will try and get hold of a set of hubs and change them no worries there

So steel wheels of disco hmmmm will have a gander down the garage and see who has what there forever changing wheels flogging bits its a good source of stuff most of the time.

Thanks for all the help guys just need help on the paint now  :)
