If anyone wants to help me please let me know availability etc..... i am in the northwest in Barrow-In-Furness.

Forgot to add, tea/coffee and dinner will be sorted out etc....... and beer if required!!
-
dan i would glady give you hand but i don't think i can warrant driving 300 odd miles to do. sorry
-
LOL its ok Jimboy!
Although, i am thinking if its not too much of a job then if camping can be sorted will do some laning the following day, so for example, clutch on the saturday, camp sat nite, lanes laking on the sunday!
Any thoughts guys?

The worst part for me is always getting the input shaft back into the pilot bearing on reassembly. I've taken the engine out both times I've done the clutch and replaced the sump gasket and rear oil seal at the same time, though it probably involves more work than dropping the 'boxs out I think it's safer.
-
i am in no way experienced enough to remove an engine for refitting, well not in a time frame thats suitable!!! lol
-
I can help, but probably would need 1x more person, also a engine lift or something believe comes in handy for these situations
-
Am currently looking at purchasing said engine crane currently! lol
-
Cool, could do with one more person I think, as I havent done a Landy clutch before but dont mind getting dirty in return for nescafe and bikkies
-
LOL, right, clutch is ordered and should arrive tomorrow, engine crane is ordered and awaiting notification of when thats going to be sent so will hopefully get somewhere soon!
-
Please take lots of pictures
I'm considering changing mine myself soon.
:D
Good luck.
-
Well me clutch has arrived!!!! yaaaay
-
This might be a bit late in the day but i would recommend that when changing the clutch you also change the actuator fork. This wares with use and if not changed can bend in half, or as happened to one of my previous vehicles the pivot went straight through it the fork. It probably only affects higher mileage vehicles (mine had 160,000 on when it went), but at £20 i would change it while it's apart.
-
Mines at over 170,000 miles lol, so i think i might have to change this, was it an easy thing to change?
-
It is really easy, there is a metal clip on the back that fits onto the pivot. When you get it all apart it will be obvious. :D
-
Aparantely once you replace it, you weld on a nut or something to stop it from happening again.
I think this is your problem, from what you have described to me on MSN and what Ive read here and at the DOC forum.
The guy on the DOC forum had also just changed his slave cylinder
-
LOL, i just want the bloody thing to work!!! i am looking towards the gearbox removal technique for clutch replacement, i am thinking thats going to be the easiest of options!
-
 well in the mean time stay out of the for sale section (two V8's up for grabs)
-
I have looked! Waiting til summer before buying another landy i think, prior to the london to brighton run, going to order the fork on thursday i think, see what happens.
-
Engine crane hath arrived!! We had to build it ourselves and after much head scratching it is built! lol

I am so glad I have an auto!
