Title: washer jet
Post by: Matt_H on February 07, 2006, 20:35:08
ok I'm puzzled, how do you change one?

I've got the centre twin jet thing which has broken and needs relpacing.  It looks like it's behind the dash - surely I don't have to remove that.

Any advice gratefully received!

Fit new ones on the arms loadsa wash

universal fitting, done them on rangy, disco and series

Tap into pipe and run out some new tube up the arms away you go, 3 jets per unit

what jets did you use on the wipers? Is this a halfords special or something?

I've got some fan ones somewhere in a box I could mount them to the roll cage!

take the ashtray out the dash & the jet is behind there,

if not remove the dash top & access it that way

well it looked directly behind the ash tray but I thought I'd better ask.. last attempt to remove dash and I gave up - no diea how to remove the dash 'top' as it were - are there obvious screws?  The liner part looked like it had press in plastic clips or something easy like that.

I'll try the ash tray tomorrow in the light :-)

THANKS!

The washers are done by vehicle wiring products, pipe splitters and tubing you can purchase locally.
