What sort of cruising speed will I get from.??
LR 90-2.5 turbo diesel.
Vitara 1.6.
{Both with standard running gear}
MPG.??
For both vehicles.
Have been told 50 mph for LR, 65 mph for vitara, both do about 35 mpg.
Any quotes please.

I would have to say look at Discoverys too. They are cheap to pick up at the moment, comfortable, fast and capable off road. And contrary to popular opinion just as easy to work on as a 90!
My Tdi Discovery tow vehicle could cruise on the motorway well in excess of the speed limit and in the process even with me driving (and I am a renowned lead foot! :shock: ) will get about 28mpg.
Just a thought!

We own both
Disco 2.5 Tdi around 30mpg
Vitara 1.6 8v around 24mpg
Wieght to fuel comsumption ratio the Disco is nowhere near being a gas guzzler. No boot to speak of in the Vitara, loads of room in the Disco.
