hello got some bigger wheels for the defender do u think i will need a lift because they just fit under the arch
-
Hi Matty
If they only just fit under the arches, you'll probably need a lift :(
You have to think of the suspension travel i.e. what will happen if you hit a bit of a tump whilst turning?
Cheers
Jeff

so u think a 1.5" or a 2" lift
-
the lift kit
-
Go for a 2" lift Matty, I did. Its a far more common setup & you can get some good deals :P

Thats the kit I got
-
im gona get it from mm4x4 the 1 in the pic do u think this on will be any gd i
-
are they easy to fit because when my dad did it to the discovery it was a pain to get the springs in
-
They aren't too difficult to fit. A mate of mine did his by lifting the rear / front end on a vehicle lift & it only took him an hour or so. I put mine on when the chassis was changed so I suppose thats cheating.

lol wot u go then i will do mine at my dads work on the ramp
-
fitting a lift kit to a 90 is a doddle, hard thing about it is undoing the rear spring retainers, change the springs on the racer regularly for different events n never needed spring compressers yet,let the axle dangle n stand on the hub to stretch the rubber bushes that last wee bit
-
ok it should lot the beast

i got the same kit from this company :D
ive yet to get my bigger wheels n tyres
