Does anyone know where the air hoses from the diff lock lever on a four speed long lever range rover are suposed to go????
There are three hoses on a pull/push operated change over lever, two of which go to a vacuum/pressure(???) switch on the front of the transfer box, these were already fitted.
The other i'm not sure where it goes, there wasn't one there when i looked, it seems to be the supply pipe of either a vacuum or a pressure which is then directed to one side or the other of the switch to engage or disengage the diff lock.
Please help if you can thank you

The 4 speed used engine vacuum to operated the diff-lock so you need to find the vac piep which will have been lost somehow. Does your car run a bit rough by any chance?

There will be a vacuum reservoir in engine bay somewhere which should have a one way valve fitted, this is where the vacuum should come from to keep diff lock in whatever state you select, just try the other two in either position, i think lever up or out should be the engaged position so just swap them if its wrong.
