Title: Rear shocks
Post by: Disco Geordie on November 09, 2005, 16:50:15
Hi

Going to change the rear shocks on my 300tdi. Need to replace bolts that hold shock onto top mounting, does anyone know why size bolts are needed.
My suppliers only seem to have them with the mounting which I don't need.
Thanks in advance

Unless they are radically different on the 300 TDi then the bolt is part of the top mount.  On pre-EFi RRC the bolt isn't threaded, it uses a split pin.

Do you mean the bolts holding the shocker top mount onto the chassis or are you looking for the thread size of the shocker securing nut?  :?

M12 is the shock mounting nut.
m10 is for the shock mounting to chassis.
