Just been & turned the diaphram on the fuel pump from 11.55 to 3.15 & although it smokes a bit it now goes like how id expect it to,1st gear vanishes & will now pull round junctions in 5th,feels a bit like the v8 in my dads 110 but with more MPG

right,quick update
was out tonight giving the local boyracers some sport & the list goes a bit like this:
8V clio 1.2
16V clio 1.2
8V corsa 1.2 &
a tdi 90 standard
also doscovered that it spins the wheels up to 3rd & can get a bit wild when the boost comes in,wish i had tweaked it ages ago now,
Jake: a non mechanic "could" do it but id advise some1 who has done it to help you, mainly cos ive got my boost upped & the fuelling has just finished it off
I Say Unleash the fury Just a wee bit
-
would like to add a ford focus,1.4 corsa 8V & a disesel tranny,New style
Hmmm thought id lost the boyracer tag
-
Has it affected the MPG much??
-
a bit but nothin 2 scary, still managed to squeeze 200 miles from 45 litres of jungle juice "JUST"  although now need to lift the gearing again as it tops out flat at 70mph screaming along, gets there really really quckly though
-
Think ill give mine a tweak some time, was just worried it mite start drinking the fuel to quick.
Have you upped the boost at all??
-
ive upped the boost a wee bit,think by 1/2 a bar from .7bar .
id advise doing the tweak BUT make notes of what you do & how much so you can put it back to standard

Definattly, ive seen tractors at work where people have played with the pump and forgot what they've done, gets expensive to send them away to be re-set up.
