Well spotted that man :D
I saw the Quad, but thought the rider was waving at the van behind me. It was only a couple of hundred yards before the dual carriageway commenced

We were on our way home from Royston Vasey-by-the-Sea (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=12443)

I take it you'd been having a hard days work    at Langdale??

It was nice to see that the Scarab in the garage at Rillington was still there, but also it's sad that it hasn't gone to a good home.
Didn't see the Gypsy at Sherburn though

And for the non-Yorkshire members out there, yes, there really is  place called Scagglethorpe (http://uk.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=483000&Y=473500&width=500&height=300&gride=483226.564586745&gridn=472542.123946191&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=1&scale=25000) (we were near the 'Beck House' when we passed)

I was actually on my way there.  I was running a bit (read VERY) late though, I'm meant to start at 08:30.  I finished VERY late too.  That's thanks to some idiot deciding to see if one of our fleet SJs would be any good on the XTreme route.  We managed to bend the Unimog trying to pull it out.   :?

It reached to stage where we considering getting the digger to LIFT it out.  In the end, it took a KERR and a meaty heave.  The SJ won't be back on the fleet for a while though.   :(

Yes, 14:30 is definately a late start.

Bend a Uni-Mog
What the hell did they do to the SJ then??

Oh, for all the browsers, here is the location of Royston Vasey-by-the-Sea (http://uk.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=510000.294171088&Y=480000.653674525&width=500&height=300&gride=511209.294171088&gridn=480766.653674525&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=filey&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=1&scale=25000)

Well, the SJ was in what looked like a simple water hole.  But it would just not budge an inch.  Sadly no pics, I normally have my camera with me, but not today.  Today hasn't been a good day, for all sorts of reasons, but I won't go into them here (family matters).

What's up Neil?  Have I "spotted" you somewhere, and not realised it?

Been to York today (again)
Took SWMBO & 'small-child' to the National Railway Museum (http://www.nrm.org.uk/html/home_pb/menu.asp) & then home via Nun Monkton (http://uk.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=450500.572977608&Y=458000.665107185&width=500&height=300&gride=450376.572977608&gridn=458002.665107185&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=nun+Monkton&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=1&scale=25000)
'Small-child' had taken some bread to feed the locals (http://community.webshots.com/photo/292202636/292202636OOovJN), but they got a bit friendly & she didn't like them biting her fingers
(old photos, circa March '05 )

I think I've swung SWMBO into (perhaps) keeping an eye on the 'For Sales' there in the future.
I'm sure I'd be happy there.
It's about 4miles to the A1
No shops, no takeaways, no 'hoodies',  but no Post Office or newsagent, just  the pub
