Post by: 110landy on August 03, 2008, 14:46:45
hey there
just noticed a few minutes ago that i have a hole in my exhaust, its in the wire mesh part near the engine, sorry not to sure what this part is called, but anyway I'm in Portugal at the moment and getting ready to travel to Ireland in a few weeks with a full truck, Ive noticed that I'm lacking power on climbs is this because off this hole in the exhaust, is it an expensive job to replace this all help will be grateful
cheers Liam

The wire mech protects a corrugated tube beneath which is mostly gas-tight.  If a few of the wires have broken then it's no big deal, if hot gas is escaping from it then it needs swapping.
