Title: Series 3 - Electrical Bugs
Post by: joe90 on September 13, 2009, 16:09:58
Afternoon All

Im getting to the end of my series 3 re-build and have got a few little electrical problems to sort out.

First off can anyone tell me why my Fuel and Temperature guage have stopped working. The temp guage has been playing up a while, but now both have stopped working.

Secondly my Kenlow Fan control has given up after 8 years on the motor, can anyone tell me where to get a replacement. Fortunantly I have a manual override but never the less would like to sort it.

Thanks in advance

Joe

They share the same feed so check the wiring. It goes through a voltage regulator which is usually on the back of the speedo.

Thanks TBM

Where can I get a voltage regulator from...Had a look on Paddocks web site but there isnt one advertised, and more to the point, what does one look like?

Any further offers on the kenlow fan thermostat?

Cheers

For me it was the contacts in the fuse box. Just needed a rub down with abrasive.
