Title: New Shoggie Owner
Post by: sooki_blu on March 15, 2008, 19:56:26
Hey Guys, this is now my fourth incarnation on this site, having previously owned a Jago Geep, Isuzu Trooper, Cherokee, Frontera, Rangerover Classic and Series III LR.
Just purchased a LWB 92 3.0 v6 Shogun ( 7 seater to keep the missus happy) - first impressions :

Nice comfortable ride - probably the best out of all the 4x4's Ive owned - only the cherokee comes close, but that was a bit more 'American' on the corners.
Nice engine - bit low on power, especially when compared to the 4.0 cherokee, but certainly better than the series III. Seems like a nice well behaved on-road vehicle.

Good on road presence too - probably only the series iii and Rangerover have felt more awe inspiring.

One thing I have noticed, and it seems like a common thing on these - is an oil leak. Looks like its coming from near the oil filter, but possibly elsewhere too - kinda hard to tell until I clean it all off.
