Title: which is the best to buy
Post by: mudcop on February 13, 2009, 12:53:40
What is the best model and most reliable frontera to buy? Been told the 2.8 was the best but hard to find, so what is worth looking at?

Depends what your using it for?
And your budget.

Do you want LWB or SWB ?

Some good 2.8's about for under £800.

Depends on what you want it for!

there are loads on ebay at the mo, 2.8s fetching not much more than any other model now!

I personally bought a 2.0l sport 2 weeks ago for £50! 120000 on the clock, nice engine, just needed a few bits (headlight/indicators) doing and now has a MOT on it!

If you have around £1000 you could probably get an early 2.2dti ;)

looking at long wheel base, would really like diesel engine, up to a grand, got to be big enough for family and great off road but everyday transport, teach kids to ride quads so it has to get over the fields everyday and needs to be relaible, thanks

2.2 dti then if you can find one at the right price, maybe a 2.8 if you want something a litle older that you dont mind giving some abuse ;)

I've just replaced LWB isuz's for a ZG ;) wouldn't go back

for a grand, pick a model, pick an engine and if you look around you'll get one.

People asking 3K for a 2.2dti 'B' are in a dream world. 750 - 1000 will get you a nice one with a ticket.
