Title: haynes manual
Post by: LADY IN A LANDY on February 28, 2006, 10:56:08
Is it possible to get a haynes manual for a Wreg td5 disco, halfords tell me they dont do one, why would that be are they really to complicated for the home mechanic.
I like to think im fairly practical and if i have the tools and destructions am happy to attempt the simpler jobs but no manual is very frustrating and i dont like to be forced to pay a garage to do simple jobs i could tackle myself.

Hiya,

Haynes website (http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=14518&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10215&top_category=10001) would be the place to check, does mention the 1999 discovery onwards they have no plans to publish one.

Haynes manuals tend to be quite limited in the work they cover. I personally prefer the original manufacturer's manuals, and looking at http://www.brooklands-books.com/ the manual for the '99 to 2002 Discovery is available http://www.brooklands-books.com/pages/landroverdisco.html . The downside, obviously, is that they are not cheap.

But it will pay for itself the first time you use it in anger.
