I'm not sure you can on the 300TDi but I'm watching with interest, I've not yet seen one with it and I wanted to fit it to ours.

I know the TD5 has it programmed in, all you need is the switch but not sure about the 300 :?

I fitted an aftermarket kit from Conrad Anderson (http://www.conrad-anderson.co.uk/cruisecontrols/cruisecontrols-models.htm) to my 300 TDi and it works fine, if a little slow to engauge.

I fitted two to 200 Tdi disco's. That was dead easy really; just a lot of wire running.
THe speed sensor came form the alternator terminal for the rev counter; the brake tags into the existing switch, a magnetig switch to the clutch in teh same circuit and an operating cable to the fuel pump.

I don't know the 300 Tdi but I am damn sure that somebody makes one that will suit. At worst it could pull down on the accelerator pedal.

That's the thing, if the bracket was there I would fit the OEM one as I have a spare system (bought for RRR) but I don't know if the vac actuater is strong enough, or how to fasten it on.

Now I'm confused - pretty sure the cruise control on our 300TDi was factory fitted

It'd be nice if it was the case, on the V8 all the bracketry is there whether cruise is fitted or not but on the TDi it isn't.  ANy chance of some pictures of yours please? ot's the actuater and the top of the pump/throttle arm so I can see how it's connected (and if there are any bits I can buy to make it work).
