Title: electrical fault

seem to have a electrical fault,the interior light has stopped working today,when i try to turn it on by the switch the clock goes off,then every time i turn the radio on i have to put in the code,im sure they are all connected in some way.all fuses are fine,is it a wire thats come loose behind the fuse box ? any help would be helpfull.cheers

Yes they are all connected in some way......, you have an earth fault.

Check all existing..., and you may have to install a new one or two......

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago when ever i put main beam on it would cut out lights clock and radio. The main feed for the circuit comes straight from the battery to the fuse box. On the o/s inner wing there is a bunch of wires that go into a fabric type sleeve. The wire joins in there and on mine it was corroded through. I replaced the wiring and has been fine since

i found the fault,did a search on here and someone had exactly same symptons,and found that a certain fuse had blown,swaped the fuse all working as should

2nd fuse down, middle row, cant remeber the number.

Blown it myself, LR dont rate the radio circuit to deal with modern high-output radios, so I vapourised the fuse :)
