Title: Disco remote
Post by: tomkbucks on September 06, 2007, 11:36:56
ive got a 97' disco Commercial, when i bought it i only got one key and one plip, ive had a new keycut, but have realised that if you try and open it via the key when locked with the plip, or start it the alarm just goes off, is there any way to disarm the alarm with key ?

My local landrover place will supply a remote for £40 and reprogram it for £20 ( plus the vat ) but £70 seems a little expensive for a remote isnt it ? anyway to get one cheaper ? or if i grab a 2nd hand remote from ebay can these be re programed ? any advice would be great ,id like to get a spare sorted before im locked out of my own disco ! cheers

Try these people http://www.remotekey.co.uk/ They come recommended by many people...including me...You never know quite what you are getting on ebay and could end up with a useless fob

Give them a ring.  They are very helpful.  They will help you work out which one you need and then sell it to you mail order with instructions on how to program it...or is it one of those fancy two button onces that needs a computer to program it?  Still worth giving remote key a ring for advice
